About

My name is Laine and I’m an artist who looks toward nature all year round for inspiration and joy.

When I was a kid, my family and I spent a lot of time in Cook Forest, and I still love to return now in the summers to hike and spend time at my cottage there. The smell of ferns still takes me right back to those memories with my grandparents, dad, and my favorite uncle.

I’m a native Pennsylvanian, and have lived all over the western part of the state, including several towns up by Erie, and in Pittsburgh – for nearly 15 years now.

When I’m not working on art, I can be found reading one of the 10 books I have checked out from the library at a time, finding an unhinged house project to complete, or making a dish to share with my friends for our monthly dinner gathering (we’re called the Taste Buds).

I’m pictured here with my amazing black lab, Archie, who unexpectedly crossed the Rainbow Bridge in late 2025. He’s my very best friend and I miss him more than I can say.
